Habaneros Mexican Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Habaneros Mexican Restaurant in Jesup feels like being welcomed into a warm, familiar gathering spot where the pace slows just enough to savor good company and even better food. The hum of friendly conversations and the genuine smiles from the staff create an inviting atmosphere that balances casual comfort with a subtle excitement—like the promise of a meal that’s both rooted in tradition and attentive to every detail.
Though the setting is unpretentious, there’s a clear intention behind the food and service that shines through. This isn’t just a place to grab a quick bite; it’s a spot where the layers of authentic Mexican flavors unfold alongside surprisingly thoughtful dishes inspired by Japanese touches. Whether it’s the fresh zest in the house-made salsa or the satisfying warmth of the rice and beans, each bite invites you to pause and appreciate the care behind the kitchen’s craft.
The flow of the restaurant moves naturally—from attentive servers who seem to remember familiar faces, to the aroma of sizzling fajitas and the comforting presence of made-to-order tacos that anchor the menu. Families and regulars gather here not only for meals but for moments—the kind where laughter fills the air and the pace of the outside world feels pleasantly suspended. Here, the food tastes less like a fixed menu and more like a shared story unfolding around the table.
Habaneros radiates an authentic local spirit, where the service feels personal without being overbearing, making every visit something quietly special. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most rewarding experiences happen when you find a place that feels like a casual neighborhood haven — full of life and heart, and just waiting to be discovered.

Great service, great pricing, and the ladies there always take good care of you. My family enjoys going there not just for the food but for the awesome customer service

Came with a large group and the waitress was friendly, remembered everyone's places and had drinks out quickly, and the food was wonderful! It was my first time but I will definitely be back. They also accept cards now (I'd been told it was cash only) and no longer accept checks.

Walked in and placed a to-go order. First-time guest. The staff were nice and patient as I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted. I waited about 10- 15 minutes. The food was soooooo good and plentiful. I can't wait to go back when I'm in that area again.

I stopped here on a whim coming through Jesup on my way back home to Hahira. I had been up north for a week and was missing home and good food. I am so glad that I stopped here. Both ladies up front were very kind and welcoming from the get go. I got the beef enchiladas Verde (one of my fav dishes) and steak Street tacos. Both were incredible but the enchiladas were the absolute best that I have ever had. I would come back to Jesup just for this restaurant. The atmosphere was also nice and it was a very nice final stop on my long trip home.

I was lost with so many choices, but my Server Marianna, was incredible!! She suggested the “Barria Tacos” and when I tell you!! I would have ate four servings if my tummy and wallet would have let me , Downside to my experience, the awful looks from the patrons when I walked in the door was my only concern, the front door seems to be the only thing interesting to the people dining. So be ready to feel all eyes on you the moment you open the door. While that can’t be helped by the restaurant owner, it didn’t help I was seated 8 feet from the checkout counter in the path of the exit
